The Tuscan coast at eleven in the morning — grapefruit peel, sea spray on warm stone, and green wood holding the whole thing upright.
The Story
It opens sharp and cold: bergamot, lemon, grapefruit and a crack of pink pepper. That brightness lasts longer than you expect, because underneath it there is cypress — dry, green, resinous — and a marine accord that reads like real air coming off water, not like blue detergent.
Oakmoss and ambergris finish it with a mineral, faintly salty warmth. This is the only fragrance in the collection you can wear at 45°C and feel cooler for it. It is also the only one with its own illustrated label, because the sea earned it.

The Nokhetha
Nokhetha is what Kuwait calls the captain of a ship, and this one has clearly retired early. Cap on, aviators down, grinning at nothing in particular. He has seen the whole sea and decided the best part of it was the smell.
The Tale of the Nokhetha
He was the most feared thing in that water for eleven years, and he quit over a smell.
A nokhetha is a ship's captain. He was not one — he simply followed the pearling boats out every season until the crews started calling him that, half as a joke and half because nobody wanted to say the other word out loud.
The morning it happened, he had come up behind a boat at first light the way he always did. But the wind that morning was coming off the land, not the water, and it carried something he had never caught before: cut citrus from someone's breakfast, wet stone on the harbour wall, and cypress from the trees above the old town.
He surfaced. Nobody on the boat noticed, which he thought was rude. He hung there in the cold clean water with his nose in the air like an idiot, and understood — with total clarity and no warning at all — that he had spent eleven years chasing the least interesting thing the sea had to offer.
He turned around. He has not worked since.
You will find him on the rocks most mornings, cap on, facing land, waiting for the wind to turn.
